Committees
Government Affairs Committee
Chairman - Eric Dillé, EOG Resources
The Government Affairs Committee is the lead advocacy arm of IPAMS, focusing on the development, analysis, and implementation of policies relating to federal and state land access for oil and gas development. The committee is composed of several task forces that work on specific issues relating to land access, environmental regulations and tax and royalty issues. IPAMS Government Affairs Committee works closely with federal and state regulators to ensure environmental safeguards do not overly burden oil and gas development, and continually monitors current and emerging tax issues, provides information on compliance strategies, and develops testimony and written comments on legislative and regulatory issues in Washington, D.C. and across the Intermountain West.
IPAMS Basin Advisory Networks focus on basin and state-specific issues. By assigning task forces to manage issues for each region, IPAMS is able to monitor activities in the active basins in the region with input from Board-appointed State Vice Presidents.

Crude Oil Committee
Chairman - Steve Barnes, Breck Energy
The Crude Oil Committee is tasked with ensuring the vitality and stability of the industry during price fluctuations, as well as establishing policy incentives and other programs to provide for continuity of the industry in the future.
Membership Committee
Chairman - Jeff Lang, Miller Dyer & Company, LLC
The number one source of revenue for IPAMS is the annual membership fee paid by each of the members. Without this important source of funding, IPAMS could not support the interests of the members as effectively as it does. Thus the maintenance of the existing membership base, as well as the addition of new members, is vitally important. The Membership Committee is charged with just this task. We focus on not only the E&P sector, but also on related sectors such as technology, service and supply, midstream, legal, non-field services, and banking.
Natural Gas Committee
Chairman - Kevin Norris, E2 Business Solutions
The Natural Gas Committee deals with natural gas transportation and pricing issues as they relate to production in the Intermountain West, including monitoring and commenting on rulemakings from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Service & Supply Committee
Chairmen - Chris Carter, J-W Operating Company
This newly developed committee addresses issues that affect the service and supply sectors of our industry. The Service and Supply Committee acts as a voice for the service companies who support oil and gas development in the Intermountain West. The committee monitors advancing developments in science, technology, and the supply of equipment & pipes while focusing on building and strengthening alliances between the industry and the communities where IPAMS members operate.
Transportation & Markets Committee
Chairman - John Harpole, Mercator Energy, LLC
The IPAMS Transportation and Markets (T&M) Committee provides IPAMS members with timely and important information regarding the movement, processing and consumption of natural gas and related liquids.
