Advocacy
IPAMS is nationally recognized as a leader in representing independent oil and natural gas producers in the Intermountain West at the federal and state levels. Our advocacy focuses on access to government lands for environmentally responsible exploration and development, and promoting policies that foster the sustainable development of domestic resources.
Sportsmen and Energy Development
IPAMS issued a press release on June 28th about a survey called Sportsmen's Attitudes Toward Energy Development in the Rocky Mountain West commissioned by the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP). The survey contained a lot of good news for the industry that refutes the contention of many environmental groups that there is a huge wedge between industry and sportsmen. Subsequent to our press release, TRCP has removed the survey from their website. They also removed the May 31st press release announcing that the survey supported their position, which we effectively showed was not true. Below is the complete survey and relevant documents.
