IPAMS Distinguished Speaker Series - Bill Whitsitt

IPAMS Distinguished Speaker Series, sponsored by G3 Operating, LLC and Samson Resources, will host Dr. Bill Whitsitt, President of the American Exploration & Production Council to discuss climate change legislation now pending before Congress and its potential effects on natural gas producers and processors. Dr. Whitsitt will speak at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver on Tuesday, May 12 at 11:30 a.m. Registration fee is is $40 before May 8th, $45 after May 8th, and $50 at the door for non-members. Lunch will be served.

Porter Bennett, President and CEO of BENTEK Eneergy, LLC will give a talk titled:. Re-Plumbing the US Gas Market: Impact of REX and Western Pipeline Projects. Mr. Bennett founded BENTEK in 1985. Over the past 21 years he has led the evolution of the company from an energy industry consulting firm specializing in market and customer analysis to today's leading energy market information company.

IPAMS Lunch & Learn - Dag Nummedal

Dag Nummedal, Director of the Colorado Energy Research Institute and Institutional Coordinator for the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory at the Colorado School of Mines will discuss the results of a recent CSM study of the economic impacts of Colorado's oil and natural gas industry (http://www.ceri-mines.org/CERIOil&Gas.pdf). Mr. Nummedal will also talk briefly about the 'new' energy research being undertaken by the Colorado Energy Research Institute, which focuses on fossil energy, and the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory, which focuses on renewable energy. Lunch & Learn sessions are conducted in the conference room of Pioneer Natural Resources, 1401 17th Street, Suite 1200, Denver, CO.
